As American made products seem to be a thing of the past to some, designer Billy Reid thinks otherwise and has always been passionate about manufacturing in the USA. Billy sought out and partnered with P.W Minor factory, the second oldest shoe factory in the USA who’s devoted to manufacturing and developing all products in the US since 1867. They will be the sole makers (no pun intended) for Billy Reid for K.Swiss, Made in New York capsule. The iconic tennis shoe brand has had a withstanding relationship with designer Billy Reid, which led to the initial launch of their first collaboration back in 2011. Debuting the style Venice Surf + Court, this canvas tennis shoe was offered in three wash treatments, reflecting the worn well quality of Reid’s own pair of dead stock K.Swiss tennis shoes.
With the newest capsule, Billy continues to keep the heritage in American made products infused in the designs that consist of proprietary textiles and high quality construction with endurance to last a lifetime. A reinvented silhouette of the original Arlington style includes a handwritten logo on the insole by US factory workers in every pair. The product retails at $265 and is available in four different color ways, made from impeccable suedes and leather. The collection is now available for purchase exclusively in all 13 Billy Reid stores and on BillyReid.com (men’s and women’s). Check them out below
