  • New York-born menswear brand Grungy Gentleman has a knack for fusing the world of sports, music and entertainment which has led to a fashion phenomenon that strives to promote the expression of individuality to both high fashion and urban cultures through its product lines, website, and e-store. Worn by the likes of Jadakiss, Styles P, Dwayne Wade, Theo Rossi, Mack Wilds (just to name a few), the brand has created “A Special Anniversary Collection by Grungy Gentleman” launching exclusively for world renown arena Madison Square Garden this week for teams New York Knicks and New York Rangers.

    The first item to launch from the line will be a Grungy Gentleman x Mitchell & Ness hat collaboration for the New York Rangers exclusive for MSG that debuted this past Sunday, during the team’s match up against the New Jersey Devils in celebration of the their 90th Anniversary. The headwear is comprised of 20% wool and 80% acrylic. The snap back hat will feature the team’s signature blue as the base color, a flat brim, and Grungy Gentleman’s recognizable six-stripe pattern on the front with alternating red and white stripes. Finally, the New York Rangers logo will be displayed on the side, while an understated monochromatic GG logo is displayed on the other side. The hat will retail for $46.00 and will be available for purchase exclusively at retail stores inside MSG and on GrungyGentleman.com

    The Grungy Gentleman x New York Knicks hats will debut tomorrow at the Garden to commemorate the Knicks 70th Anniversary. Also, produced by Mitchell & Ness, the exclusive Knicks hats for MSG will launch as the Knicks take on the Indiana Pacers. Available in both navy and white base colors, the Knicks snap back will feature six blue and orange alternating stripes on the front, along with the team’s logo on the side and faint monochromatic GG logo on the other side. Like Lipstein, Mitchell & Ness displays a passion for athleisure fashion, and the exclusive Rangers and Knicks hats look to seamlessly integrate their style into the collection. The hat will also retail for $46.00.

    But it doesn’t end there…The remaining apparel from “A Special Anniversary Collection by Grungy Gentleman” will launch in February 2017 during New York Fashion Week: Men’s. The line boasts everything from short sleeve t-shirts, long sleeve t-shirts, hoodies, bomber jackets, and sweat pants. The collection experiments with garment structure and texture. Design is clean and non-traditional, yet made cohesive through the neutral palette and patterns with the brand’s trademark six-stripe design incorporated throughout. Each team’s color palette will combine with mixed integration of luxury fabrics and a sporty vibe to lend the collection an inspired and rebellious feel!
