UNKNWN X THOM BROWNE
Miami-based retail destination UNKNWN represents some of the best current and up-and-coming brands that have a synergy of intertwining the worlds of fashion, art, sports and music. Co-founder and NBA All-Star LeBron James, along with other founders Jaron Kanfer and Frankie Walker, Jr., birthed the company with a mission to connect such brands to consumers through experiences and curated products. Offering various yet exclusive assortments of covetable sneakers, collectable items, contemporary ready-to-wear, streetwear and designer apparel.
With such selective and special offerings, UNKNWN has also been one to partner with many brands on special capsules since being established in 2011. And for this current collaboration, they’ve teamed up with NYC designer Thom Browne. Known for reinventing and challenging one of today’s mens wardrobe essential: the suit. Playing with proportions, fit and craftsmanship, Thom Browne started the trend of redefining one of the oldest menswear tailoring practices. The multi award-winning designer has created a 9 piece apparel and accessories collection where timeless style meets sporty enthusiast. Within the collection you’ll see Thom Browne’s signature four-bar stripes and athletic details incorporated on all pieces.
Centered around a full set hoodie and short combination, the classic Thom Browne sweatsuits are updated with an exclusive Japanese 100% cotton mesh which feature contrasting piping details. The collection will debut a custom color of the single strap athletic slide sandal shape for the Thom Browne brand. A key wardrobe staple for the co-founders of UNKNWN, the slide features Thom Browne’s four-bar laundry tag label across the top with a molded rubber footbed and rubber sole made in Italy. Completing the special accessories pack which also includes white athletic socks and baseball cap is a belt bag in red micro ripstop nylon with red pebble grain leather handles, brass hardware and signature red, white, and blue belt.
