The iconic and All-American fashion brand Ralph Lauren has partnered with Major League Baseball (MLB) in creating 3 special collections for iconic teams which include the New York Yankees™, Los Angeles Dodgers™, Chicago Cubs™ and St. Louis Cardinals™. The deep rooted love for American past times is a signature element infused into Ralph Lauren’s brand DNA and creations. And with his fascination and lifelong love for baseball as a favorite past time growing up in the Boogie Down Bronx, Lauren quickly recognized the authenticity and legacy of the sport, idolizing people like Hall of Fame’r Mickey Mantle aka The Commerce Comet. He was invited in 2018 by The Yankees™ to throw a ceremonial pitch at Yankee Stadium in honor of the team’s 50th Anniversary and to coincide with this moment, created a special limited-edition Yankees™ collection in which you can imagine, sold out immediately!

In these collections, you’ll find wardrobe staples that Ralph Lauren is known for such as polo shirts and fleece sweatshirts. As well as satin baseball jackets inspired by the one he wore throwing out the first pitch and New Era hats in team color ways for adults and kids. There will also be special team-themed Polo Bear Polo shirts and crewneck sweatshirts. Signature color ways from the American fashion house will be featured in each teams collection; such as red/navy and green/white for the Yankees™, green/ blue for the Cubs™, and green/white for the Dodgers™ and Cardinals™. This collection will later expand to include other teams including the Boston Red Sox™ and another release for the fall and holiday season.

A digital first global campaign inspired by vintage baseball cards will be released and then accompanied by outdoor wallscapes and artist murals in key cities. Additionally, the Ralph’s Airstream will go on a cross-country tour, making stops in select locations from New York City to Chicago’s Gallagher Way, and will offer ballpark-themed food and beverage options.
